Development Credits Policy

This Development Credits Policy (“Policy”) governs the purchase, allocation, usage, and management of Development Credits (“Credits”) provided by AcumenSites (a brand of Acumen Technologies (SMC-PVT.) Limited, shall hereinafter be referred to as 'we,' 'us,' 'our,' or 'Company') to clients (“Client,” “you,” “your”) as part of our services.
By using Credits, you agree to be bound by this Policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
1. Scope and Applicability
1.1. This Development Credits Policy applies to all AcumenSites services, including but not limited to Website-as-a-Service (WaaS) plans, Business Suite packages, and any other services, products, or solutions offered by AcumenSites. In the event of a conflict between this Policy and a specific service Agreement, the applicable service Agreement shall prevail to the extent of such conflict.
2. Ownership of Deliverables
2.1. Any services, deliverables, modifications, enhancements, customizations, assets, or other work obtained through Development Credits shall remain subject to the ownership provisions set forth in the applicable Terms of Service, Service Agreement, or other governing documents.
2.2. The purchase or use of Development Credits does not, by itself, grant ownership rights beyond those otherwise provided under the applicable service model.
3. Allocation of Credits
3.1. Credits are allocated to you according to your WaaS plan or Business Suite package, as stated on our pricing page or in your service agreement.
3.2. For WaaS plans: Credits will be issued on a monthly basis depending on your plan.
3.3. For Business Suite packages: Credits will be issued on a per-project basis depending on your package.
3.4. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred, resold, or exchanged for money or services outside the scope of this Policy.
4. Use of Credits
4.1. Credits may be used for modifications, enhancements, customizations, add-ons, additional pages, integrations, consulting, support tasks, or other services designated by AcumenSites as eligible for redemption.
4.2. The scope, delivery method, ownership treatment, and implementation of any work performed through Credits shall depend on the underlying service model, package, or Service Agreement to which the Credits are applied.
4.3. Credits should be redeemed for website development/customization tasks, associated services setup/customization tasks, or for add-ons as listed in our Development Credits Guide and Add-ons page.
4.4. Each task or add-on has a predefined Credits cost. Service requests that do not fall under a listed task or listed add-on will be assessed and assigned a Credits value before work begins.
4.5. Credits are deducted in full for each requested task.
5. Request Submission and Processing
5.1. Under WaaS plans: All Credits-based tasks must be requested via our designated support or request system.
5.2. Requests will be scheduled and completed within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 1-3 business days, unless the request is large or requires third-party involvement.
5.3. We reserve the right to decline tasks that:
- Are outside the scope of our services
- Require software/hardware we do not support
- Violate applicable laws or our Terms of Service
6. Credit Expiry and Rollover
6.1. The validity period of Development Credits may vary depending on the applicable service, package, promotion, or Agreement and shall be communicated at the time of purchase.
6.2. Under WaaS plans: Credits expire if not used within the allocation period (one (1) month) and do not roll over to the next period unless otherwise specified in writing.
6.3. Expired Credits cannot be reinstated.
7. Additional Credits
7.1. Under WaaS plans: If you exhaust your allocated Credits under your plan, you may purchase additional Credits at the then-current rates.
7.2. Under WaaS plans: Any unused purchased Credits are non-refundable and expire within one (1) month from the purchase date unless otherwise stated in your service agreement.
7.3. Under Business Suite: If you exhaust your allocated Credits under your package, you may purchase additional Credits at the then-current rates.
7.4. Under Business Suite: Any unused purchased Credits are non-refundable and expire with the delivery of your project unless otherwise stated in your service agreement.
8. Credits Limitations
8.1. Credits may not be used for:
- Full website rebuilds outside of plan limits
- Work on websites not hosted or maintained by us
- Custom software or applications unrelated to your website
- Urgent, after-hours, or rushed services unless additional fees are paid
9. Third-Party Products and Services
9.1. Development Credits may, where expressly permitted by AcumenSites, be used toward the procurement, setup, configuration, renewal, or management of third-party products or services, including but not limited to domains, hosting, software licenses, plugins, themes, integrations, email services, or business tools.
9.2. Any such third-party products or services shall remain subject to the terms, conditions, licensing requirements, renewal obligations, and ownership provisions of their respective providers.
10. Non-Refundability
10.1. Development Credits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no cash value unless otherwise expressly approved by AcumenSites in writing.
11. Relationship with Other Policies
11.1. This Policy shall be read together with the Terms of Service, Refund and Cancellation Policy, applicable Service Agreements, and any other governing documents. In the event of a conflict, the following order of precedence shall apply:
- Service Agreement
- Terms of Service
- Development Credits Policy
- Other Policies
12. Changes to Policy
12.1. This Development Credits Policy is originally effective as of August 09, 2025, and will remain in effect unless modified. Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our support services after updates implies acceptance of the revised policy.

2.2. Each task has a predefined Credit cost. Requests that do not fall under a listed task will be assessed and assigned a Credit value before work begins.
2.3. Credits are deducted in full for each task requested, regardless of partial completion, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.4. Credits may only be used for development and content-related updates to the website(s) covered under your active subscription.
3. Request Submission and Processing
3.1. All Credit-based tasks must be requested via our designated support or request system.
3.2. Requests will be scheduled and completed within a reasonable timeframe, typically within [1-3 business day(s)], unless the request is large or requires third-party involvement.

6.2. Certain requests may require additional charges if they exceed your plan’s technical limits.
7. Changes to Policy
7.1. This Development Credits Policy is effective as of August 09, 2025, and will remain in effect unless modified. Any changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of our support services after updates implies acceptance of the revised policy.
